Raindrops and Roses

Raindrops and roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied uo with string
These are a few of my favourite things.

Well, maybe not.
Except for the roses. Black ones.
And maybe the raindrops. And I like kittens, but I don't really care about their whiskers. :P

This is the first verse of an old song we'd learnt in school. Unfortunately, I don't remember the rest of it. I don't know how it came into my head all of a sudden, but I think it's probably because of the rain. Or the three cats at my cousin's house.[That's another story].

Somehow, the song exudes a feeling of contentment. Like one of those cozy rainy days when all you feel like doing is sitting by the window, watching rain, or maybe curling up in the sofa with one of those good ol' detective novels.
I learnt this song when I was in, I think, fifth grade. And we sang it at a school fuction. Pretty little girls with pretty little white dresses with blue ribbons. Cute. :-).

But now life has become hellishly hectic. And I think I'm speaking for all my fellow 11th graders when I say this. Handling school, tutions, tests in school and tutions, my music, bloggin and orkutting and the endless parties is quite a hard job. ;)

Well, I don't have anymore to write now, and I really must get going. And I think I'll blog more regularly now. :). And I'll try to make my entries a little more interesting than this one. :P
I mean, not everyone gives a damn about raindrops and roses. ;)
